What is Reiki?
At Design Studio 36, we view Reiki as a sacred healing practice that helps restore harmony to the body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in ancient wisdom, Reiki translates to “divine life force energy” - a gentle, yet powerful current of healing that flows through all living things.
When our life force energy is depleted - often due to stress, overstimulation, or emotional imbalance - we feel disconnected, anxious, or physically unwell. Reiki works to replenish and realign this energy by channeling it through the practitioner’s hands into the energetic body and chakra system, creating a supportive environment for your body to heal itself, while promoting deep relaxation and a return to balance.
The chakras - our body’s energetic centers - act as filters for the emotional, mental, and environmental energies we interact with daily. When these energy centers become overworked or blocked, the flow of life force is disrupted, which can manifest as fatigue, anxiety, or even physical illness.
Through intuitive techniques like crystal placements and vibrational sound healing, we magnify Reiki’s healing powers, and gently clear these energetic blockages, bringing your chakra system back into alignment. My practice follows the original form of Reiki channeled by the Tibetan Monks, known as Tibetan Chakra Balancing. This beautiful gift has been passed on to me from a lineage of Ascended Masters that allow me to be a conduit of their healing energy.
In each session, I blend this ancient technique with modern and elemental tools to deepen the experience. You’ll rest on an Infrared Crystal Mat to amplify detoxification and cellular renewal, while Tibetan Singing Bowls resonate through your energetic field, clearing stagnant frequencies and restoring harmony.
To further activate the healing process, I incorporate intentional crystal placements—strategically aligned with your chakra system and elemental needs. These crystalline allies amplify the energy flow, assisting in the release of blockages and the rebalancing of your body’s natural rhythm.
